When 93-year-old Thelma Post is tricked by a phone scammer posing as her grandson, she sets out on a treacherous quest across the city to get back what was taken from her. Thelma's apartment in the film is the real apartment of the real Thelma, who is still alive at the age of 103.. Thelma: I didn't expect to get so old.. The clip in which the real Thelma watches the trees and shouts: "What a spirit!" similar to its analogue from the film, played at the end of the film. It's a really great movie, super funny, super entertaining, but at the same time with a lot of heart and a very interesting human exploration of the condition of the elderly. It's also very, very gentle. The screenwriter/director was inspired by his grandmother, and in him you can feel the love and tenderness for the difficulties and living conditions of the elderly. The action of the action movie is funny, but realistic, it refers to Tom Cruise's franchise "Mission Impossible" and contrasts with it. I'd say Mission Impossible with an unstoppable main character. Great acting, I especially liked Fred Hechinger, the grandson, and of course June Squibb, who is simply wonderful. I wouldn't be surprised if June Squibb gets an Oscar nomination or the Oscar itself.
